This program has been created for those who have skills that are required by workplaces within Canada to help fill their requirements. The applicant must have skilled work experience, meet minimum language requirements in English or French, and have the education necessary for the job.

            Based on a grid that considers 100 points your application will be assessed based upon age, relevant education, related work experience, any active job offers from an employer within Canada, language skills in either English or French, and your likelihood to adapt to live within Canada easily. Once your application has been approved for this program you are sent an invitation to apply for the express entry program and once within that program your application is accessed with a different system. Those who rank at the top of the express entry application will be sent an invitation to apply for permanent residency.

            You must be intending to work in the same type of work that you have had before, and that you meet the required experience in the duties required in the job, must held that job some time within the last ten years, held the job for at least a year, and it must have been paid work. You must be able to support yourself and your immediate family for your stay and be prepared to apply for permanent residency.
